Hi

I'm new to this site so please forgive me if I'm going over old ground.

I'm on the Orange Home Max 8mb service and I've just done two speed tests - one using the 'thinkbroadband' test and one using the test linked to this site. The thinkbroadbans result was download 1.3mb and upload 0.5mb. The test linked to this site gave a completely different result of 6.8mb download and 250mb upload.

Why are they so different and which one is to be believed?

Thinkbroadband tester is currently having server problems so that probably explains the odd result.

Compare www.speedtest.net with http://www.speed.io/index_en.html
