Here's a problem(and my first post, hi all), recently I was sent a Livebox for free from Orange. It's the one that has the rough shape of an ajar book, 1.1 I think. Anyway, I go through the setup, The livebox's flash in the correct manor. But the presence of a hooked my livebox interferes with my internet connection, and to the ADSL light on my external modem flashes - I can't refresh a page or go to another page with the darn thing connected. Plan B - I don't bother getting an internet connection so I stick in the provided setup CD and get the following message:
"This application is not designed to run on your current operating system. To run this installer you will need windows 2000 SP3+ or XP SP1+. Please connect up your new router and open a web browser, you will be prompted for Internet details."
Any ideas will be great. thanks

It sounds as though you're trying to get the livebox to work with another modem connected to the line, if thats the case it won't work, you can only connect one ADSL device to a line at once.
You don't need the CD to set up the livebox at all. Just hook it up with a cable to the red port and point a web browser at http://192.168.1.1 username is admin and password is admin.
