Ok I changed from general broadband after 4 years great service to HOME MAx 7 weeks ago. The second line wouldnt activate until i finally spoke with someone in the call centre in India who "activated" it. Then the problems started.
Everytime i plug in the 2nd line and go to make a call, it shuts down the broadband and the 2nd line within seconds.
So im still having to use my landline to make calls and of course being charged. So instead of paying HOME MAX at £32 this last month i had a bill for £55!!!
When I was with BT i was paying flat rate £25 per mth and my original broadband at £18.
Now I have made many calls and changed filters etc but the problem remains - not able to use the second phone line.
Any ideas around ths would help as Im getting no where with the idiots in the call centre - because at the end of the day they dont really care.
I have been offered 1 months free service - but ummm its been two months without the service i have paid for and an increasing phone bill!

my second line cuts me off so have to use land line this has gone on since augs 08 whot i do is if i wont to make a very quick quick call i switch it of then back on dail the number say it very very quick then it cuts you of again it dos my head in they will not give a time scale to fix it all so they should have reniburse me but i have only had imonth free so i have made a complaint to the ISPA sevice this is the second complaint i have made hope they do somthing this time
Just as a matter of interest, have you tried a different phone ? VOIP systems tend to be awkward about phones sometimes. I find cheap modern analogue wired phones work well.
