I have been trying to connect my gf's Xbox up to Live so I can play games on it and she can do her girly stuff on it too. I have connected by wire and wirelessly but neither have worked for me. Here is the problem:
I run the XboxLive connection test.
It passes ALL but the XboxLive test.
I have scoured the net and cannot find a solution. It has been so long since I had this problem with my own Xbox (over 18 months ago) that I cannot remember nor figure out the problem. Any ideas chaps?
P.S> The first person with the solution wins a virtual banana.
Im afraid I do not own either a livebox or a 360 but it sounds like your router is not allowing the connection to the xbox live service, probably because the ports will have to be opened up in order to allow the traffic through.
Yeah, I had considered that but having just checked the required ports and having just entered them into my Livebox allowed list it hasn't seemed to make any difference. Does it require a reboot or anything?
Yeah, just tried it just now. Rebooted the modem and the xbox. At first it failed the DNS test but after pressing the pairing button on the Livebox it managed to pass that. Still stuck on XboxLive fail though. Running low on ideas.
