Hi all,

Been having receiving and sending email, I check at home, work related.

All was fine upto about 11.30am UK time.

I checked and double checked settings.........

Can someone else in UK, please try to access:-

From their Orange/Wanadoo connection.......

Orange servers have been a problem this afternoon, at one point I couldn't access www.orange.co.uk

From what I know,

This is not only affecting Orange / Wanadoo. I believe BT & NTL are having similar issues as well.

Basically, one of France Telecoms servers is down big time...... is rumour on grapevine.

So far, it would seem, I have only lost access to Orbital Net hosting.

I have not been able to find a definite link, with news as yet.

Can access the site OK from UK with Orange PAYG
Have you tried

Flush your DNS Resolver Cache
(Run (Windows Key + R) -> CMD <enter> -> ipconfig /flushdns <enter>

Or

Change your DNS settings to something like openDNS

(www.opendns.com)

I have done everything...... and triple checked.

I can access Orange and most other sites......

I have also, tried different Router

All systems connected here have same issue.......

Ping tests also report Domain not found.

Can someone, please let me know, if they have loaded:-

Yes as above can load page and ping (80.88.198.51) OK
Where does tracert say the problem is?

Strange - the fault seems to be at Sprintlink's servers in the UK.

No I'm connecting to Orange via PAYG dial up not broadband
(My open question next to yours explains why!)

So landline side only affected....... Monthly pay

I can use Dial UP or bypass Orange via VPN and all works fine......

Still nothing official about Telecom France servers down............

All is working again now, so must have been fixed.

All emails are through now and can access the web sites again.
