Hi - I am trying to prepare my sons new Ipod Touch ready for Christmas, and I want it to connect to my wireless network. I have a standard Livebox (about 2 years old).
The iPod has asked me to input the Password (I assume this is the Livebox security password) and the "Network name". I have input "Orange" and "Livebox B450" but it cannot find the Network.
I wonder if the "network name" is something different - can anyone tell me where I will find it ?
I saw your post while I was searching for the answer myself, and now I've found it, I thought I better let you know!
it's the WEP key you need to put in the "Password" field.
- which is a complete pain, because it's the really long one on the sticker on the bottom of the live box.
it's 26 letters and numbers long.
First, put the livebox into "pairing mode", by pressing the little "1" button on the side of live box itsself (above the usb socket).
- apparently it stays in pair for 10 minutes
then on the iPod Touch enter in the WEP key
You need to put it in with no spaces between the sets of numbers and include the two letters at the end.
Also make sure that you put the caps log on for each of the letters (it flicks off each time you type a letter so you have to keep putting it on if you have more than one letter in a row).
