< Livebox Issues? ~ Ipod touch

Hi,can anyone help me with getting my daughters ipod touch connected to my Siemens Orange router.

The ipod touch sees my Orange connection and when i try to connect it asks for a password,this password i am reliably informed is the wep key,i have entered the password in lower and upper case because there is a few letters in the password but it says unable to join network.

I have set up other connections to my network(laptops,xbox etc)using the same method.

Could it be my network encryption blocking me?.

Thanks for the help.

It asks me to "we must first put the Livebox mode association"not sure what this is? is it like pairing the router?,if so i have a Siemens 572 and there are no pairing buttons on it.

Worked out that the small reset button on the back of the Siemens router is the pairing button.

The iopd is now connected to the router but accessing the net is now another problem.

They don't make it easy do they Evil or Very Mad

Hi - just trying to set up ipod Touch wireless link to Livebox.

confirms that the ipod asks for the "name" of the network (not Orange) - What is this ? I have a home PC that is set to the deafault Livebox settings, so is there somewhere in the configuration pages that tells me the "name" of the network or is this squirrelled away on the PC somewhere ?

I am stuck, so if anyone could help I would be very grateful.

It should search for the networks and list available networks.

Otherwise to find out the network name, type 192.168.1.1 in your Internet Explorer on your PC. Login using admin as the user and admin as the password.

Scroll down to wireless and the info listed under "Livebox Name :" is what you are looking for.

Press Button 1 on Livebox so the wifi light flashes. This puts livebox into pairing mode and you have 10 minutes to try and connect your wireless device . This only needs to be done once and then you should be able to connect every time .

I had to change security on Livebox to WEP only.

WEP key is case sensitive.
