whenever I use outlook express for my @orangehome.co.uk email address my mail sometimes sends and sometimes does not, to combat this Orange finally told me to enter 193.252.22.136 in the pop box and 193.252.22.138 in the smtp box, great that all works fine but if I try to use any other email address I.E googlemail, fsmail etc and just enter the normal pop and smtp instructions I get the same problem, therefore I assume the way around this is to get the numbered address for there servers, now the question is where do I find these and why is this only a problem since I joined Orange 1 week ago. P.S it happens on all my computers
No, you use Googlemail's servers :
pop.googlemail.com
smtp.googlemail.com
Tick "My Server requires authentication"
SMTP port = 465
POP port = 995
Tick both SSL boxes
All this is on the Googlemail page when you set up your Gmail address.
fsmail is web based only and cannot be used via Outlook, or Outlook Express.
As far as I can remember you can also sign up for an Orange Pay As You Go account, which creates a new email address in the format yourname.orangehome.co.uk This can be used via Outlook Express. If you take this route, at the end of the registration do not download the settings to your computer, but just close the box. This creates the email address for you. Just remember to write down the email address and password, or enter your current email address in the "Contact email adddress" box and it will forward a copy of your new email address to you.

as reguards google mail the problem is since I have been with Orange no matter what mail I use if you put pop.mailservername or smtp.mailservername I get error messages that is why Orange made me put in the numbers shown above so pop.gmail.com and smtp.gmail.com do not work

Ok, your buggered then because you can only use ports 465 or 587 with secure SSL connection and server authentication with Googles smtp servers, usually this will bypass the problems of ISP's who block port 25.
