Just the one, although we used to have a laptop that shared the connection...
In that case fsmale's suggestion is a possibility.
At worst your computer may have some type of virus hiding somewhere, picked up via an email. In which case download HiJackThis and scan the whole of C drive and post it on one of the forums (not sure if this one has a HJT expert)
At best if you can think of anyone (friendly) who is inadvertently logging into webmail and taking those emails off (you did say "I have ticked the box which says keep a copy of messages on the server as of today in case that helps.") so there would be no record if they had been taken off. If this is the case then giv'em a good smacking
Thing is you can sign onto webmail from anywhere/any computer and access your emails and you wouldn't know.
Just logged on with new password and had messages download from the server for the first time in weeks!!
Looks like somebody was intercepting them
I have one suspect in mind who will be in a lot of trouble if it is them...better not talk about it until I'm sure...
Unless this was a fluke I think that the problem is now solved, so thanks for the help, sorry if I made your brain ache borednow! Thanks for saying what I suspected fsmale, I was unwilling to believe it on my own, still in shock about it actually...
Everything is now back to normal, thank goodness, I've never been so happy to recieve spam... going to confront my suspect tomorrow, for all I know he/she is probably reading this.
