If it's an LLU supply, neither......Alcatel own the LLU equipment and Magadalene maintain and modify it. Orange are only the seller of the service.

If it's not LLU then it's BT's responsibility but AFAIK Ipstream Max is adaptive so effectively the whole thing is automatic or semi-auto.

The Kitz site gives a good overview of how the various ADSL supplies function.

That's correct, you are set on a specific speed depending on your contract.

I can only imagine that Alcatel+Magdalene are the only companies that can change the parameters, Orange cannot physically do that because it's not their equipment and they do not have broadband engineers in the field.

As I said in another thread, Orange are acting just an office boy, they should be controlling what Alcatel+Magdalene are doing (service contract management) and they fail to do this.

I believe that's why there are so many problems that they are unable to resolve because they don't actually know what Alcatel and Magdalene have done.

You have absolutely no chance.....it has been tried before (Magdalene).

Their contracts are with Orange therefore they will not communicate with anyone else.

If you use a 3rd party router you can tweak your SNR to tweak more speed out the line if it can take it
