hi i am with Orange as my isp and useing incredimail as i have done for many years , but i started getting errors the error is
socket error 10051, port 25 protocal smtp. a socket operation was attempted to a unreachable network
i have talked woth my isp and they have said that there is no problem with there service at all i have searched around the net and seen that other people have said this to Orange and they have denined there is a problem but this problem does not happen every time

In Outlook Express, I've used a specific address for smtp and pop for a long time now but I've never used Incredimail.
You could try using smtp 193.252.22.138
hi thanks for your reply i have tried changeing the port to 587 and get this error
socket error 10060, port 587 protocol smtp , a connection attempt failed because the connected party did not respond after a period of time or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond
i have also tried changing to 193.252.22.138 and get this error : outgoing server smtp 193.252.22.138 cannot be found please verify that you are connected to the internet , failed to find host socket error 11004 port 25 protocal smtp the requested name is vaild and was found in the database but it does not have the correct associated data if i chage it back as in smtp.orangehome.co.uk i get the same error as before but sometimes it works and other times it does not
Not sure why you changed to port 587, Orange smtp is 25.
Did you use 193.252.22.138 with port 25 ?

the reason i changed the port to 587 is i belong to several sites and i am asking the same question about this smtp server issue
