Hi, I've been with Orange for a long time but I am now at the point of packing it in.
Problems started months ago and have been getting worse, main problem is that the Internet connection with the live box keeps dropping out, only for a few minutes at a time, but when it come back on I have a different connection speed.
I've tried there help line but you only get the same questions every time which lead nowhere.
I've posted some of the settings that have happened tonight below.

when ur livebox powers down it re syncs on the line. the ERX card at the exchange thinks this is a problem and auto lowers the speed to compansate.
When it drops out what does the @ light do dave?

The best part is that after about 10.00 PM at night the connection will remain stable until about 6.30 AM the following morning.
I had about 3 months of completely stable connection until about 1 Month ago then this started, I have even got a new Siemens Router from Orange to see if this could solve the problem, only trouble is, that thing keeps telling me I'm putting in the wrong security code and I am not spending 50 pence a minute to try and solve that problem.
The biggest problem is my lad who keeps trying to play on-line games, you can imagine how he feels when after 10.00 minutes he gets cut off.
ok when the light flashes fast u are losing full sync on the line, it is the liveboxs way of saying i cant see the broadband on the line at all. could be anything after the master socket such as ext etc, i would try in the test socket behind the faceplate of the master BT socket if it all fine in there it ur internal wiring.if ti same at master socket, call tech and ask them to run a line test in line test system for a PERMINANT Intermitant connection at the test socket. could also be a fault livebox after a fireware up date, try factory reset aswell. it will force the box to complete re sync on serer afterwards.
With the @ light if it works at test socket ur looking at master socket, filters, ext cables or gain on the line cauising ur porblems but will advice accordingly if is
I hope this doesn't sound daft but, outside the house the telephone lines pass between the branches on two trees, one of the branches is in contact with the line all the time, could this have any effect on the line.
hell yeah heard it alot of times, contact BT tell them it interfers with ur telefone line (quicker this way) it wat called an overhead cabling issue to Orange and BTW. it will more than likely be worse in bad weather. when the tree breaches moves it moves the cable connections on the plit on the pole and would account fior ur drop out
I am so fed up with phoning Orange I don't think I could stand another conversation with their help line. I have had every excuse under the sun as to why my connection keeps dropping,
It's my extension, I must have not cleared my web cache, are you sure the cable is not lose, have you altered your Internet settings, and you have to go through the same set of questions every time, I'M NOT ONLY CONFUSED, I'm really pi**ed of with them.
The amount of times I have been told they will phone back and not once have they done it.
