I just got a Livebox, my first wireless connection. No problems so far, but I need to know If I should leave it on all the time, which would be convenient, or if I should turn it off when not in use.
I pick up signals from one other wireless network on the area, and that appears only intemittently, so I presume he/she turns off the box when not in use.
What would you advise? Wanadoo's literature is at best unclear.
What, if any, are the drawbacks to leaving Livebox on permanently?
You can leave the livebox on all the time.. Doesn't cause any damage to it. As long as you have good security set.. No one can access it anyway... So it will always be available to you without having to switch it on everytime..
