Hi guys, I couldn't find an answer on the Orange website (maybe I'm blind or it's just not on there )
They charge per extra GB...I've gone over by approx 5GB ...anyone know what the charge is please?
Thanks in advance!
There is no charge.......they just throttle you back for free
Ah yes...my "up to 8MB" connection has been running at 5MB for the past year or so anyway...I don't mind being throttled that much; just don't want a charge!

No they won't charge you. In a couple of months time they will send you a letter saying they are going to cap your speed during peak hours between 6pm and midnite. You will probably like most people on here have experienced have it capped 24/7 for a while as well. My line was capped way back in november and 6 months later it's still the same and there is no point in calling them either you just get a hotline to the taj mahal where they have no clue about anything that's assuming you can understand them as well.

Thanks for the reply moni.
Say, just how capped was your line?
My line speed has dropped from 7.6MB during the initial upgrade to 8MB, down to ~4.7MB ever since.
D'you reckon this is Orange capping me, or just problems with my line/exchange? (Though my line is meant to support up to 8MB; and it was past 7MB before, so no reason why it should suddenly drop by itself?)

You'll be capped to 0.5mb, so it'll make a big difference to your speed. And once you're finally re-instated after 2 or more months, you'll be warned that in future the cap will be permanent if you break the FUP again, without warning.
