Leave Orange ASAP. Sorry but its the only way to game totally lag free.

But i never had lag until saturday-sunday it was always fine

That is weird, I've defo noticed more lag on COD4 of late so much so that I went back to a wired connection to see if it made any difference alas it was just as sh!te. I'm just biding my time now til I can leave them on 13th July, I just can't face phoning the script monkeys to complain!

cod4 is now practicly unplayable for me now i get a continuous red dot
My husbands having the same problem with COD4 and not being able to play online. Would re setting the Livebox help? Although the internet is running fine. Does anyone have any suggestion?

I can still play it, most times I have the Three green bars but if I'm playing anyone from the US it (nearly) always drops to the two yellow bars .
I only ever get the full four bars if I'm hosting .
I looked on the PS3 forums and can't see anyone else with similar problems.

In my experience as an ICT Technician i have alot of calls about the Orange live box's. Believe it or not i am on Orange at home and no longer have any problems with them.( i cant believe it either lol ) I have found that if you replace the LIVEBOX with just a standard router the lag you are experiencing virtually disappears. I tested this by taking my spare router a LINKSYS (cisco) ADSL 2+ router to a customers house and rigged it up as if it was their router and low and behold no lag on their gaming. I allowed them to use this router until they purchased their own as they werent making use of the free calls through their live box.
This is something you could possibly try to see if the lag disappears.
I know its not ideal if you are using the free calls through your livebox but it is a way to remove any lag for your gaming experience.
Agreed! ive definately had lagg recently its UNBARABLE!!!! im getting seriously anoyed with the lagg during the evenings
ATM im starting up day of defeat and im waiting fir a download that is 0MB and the approx time is 2 and a half hours! World of Warcraft just places me straight into the RED latency bar aswel
I posted this a long time ago, and its still on the 1st page. Anyway, I'm having problems with lag, not on CoD4, but CoD W@W. I've been having problems for the past 3 weeks. My router wouldn't connect to the server, so I wasted a week finding out how to reconnect, finally it worked again. ( I called 18 times and they didn't resolve my problem until the 18th, poor service!)
Anyway, is there any advice someone could give me? I have a 8MB connection. I also put my PS3 into a DMZ, it worked for a while but now its even worse.
I think there is a conflict between Orange & COD WAW. I regularly can't find players or can't download the game settings... But on other games it's fine... :s
It's quite random when it does and doesn't work.. Sky next month though.. So it's not too annoying for me...

Now I'm annoyed After 4pm my connection will drop from ~5mb to 1mb, the lag is insane! Why is this? Also can I leave Orange if this continues to happen? I only have 3 months left out of a 24 month contract, I really want to leave but dont want to pay for the livebox and laptop I got free when I signed up.
Having the same problem. At peak times, my connection (supposed to be 8 meg) makes gaming impossible. It's been happening for 2 weeks.
Yeah, very annoying, the support line refuses to help me. The speed drops and gaming is aweful. But at midnight my speed peaked to 7000mb but my line has capacity of 6.5, so something is wrong.
