What really hacks me off is over the past few days the Orange broadband service has been playing up big time. even though I have two pc's im always paranoid that it's my pc that is at fault and spend ages fiddling around trying to fix an internet connection.
Eventually I'll find there suppport numbers (never easy when the connection is down). Then spend ages listening to a tune on there phone lines paying them 'orange' nice tidy sums of money just to confirm that it
is there service that has a fault.
incidently ive never not known there 'service status' page to show anything other than 'all is ok'
I managed via this site used on a friends pc to call a service state number
where some pre recorded voice actually admitted they were having problems. At last piece at my end. its not my pc but Orange.
But Orange have made a nice tidy some out of me thru phone calls.
of course ill email them requesting a refund of calls, but im not sure about any other uses but ive never ever yet had a response from there service email support dept.
The only reason i joined Orange was that ive had the same interent connection since broadband began ten plus years ago, back when it was freeserve and am very reluctant to change as ive heard many horrow stories. my friend try to switch and was offline for Three months. where everyone blamed everyone else.
im no fan of Orange but now im tide in till next year on a stinky 18 month contract.
fingers crossed the transfer of service provider will be easier then.
but my fear is i also transfered my BT line other to Orange to get the phone
package deal.
i'm very aware even now, one year in advance of any provider switch its going to be very very difficult. as thats the way they like it.
it make you stay put due to fear......

I wouldn't worry about a transfer most go without any problems with no longer than a few minutes downtime, if Orange tell you any different they are lying to put you off leaving.
btw lordlucan where have u been hiding all these years lol

I fell the same way, read the last bit on how to cancel
Quote:
The best way to cancel is to phone up and when given the options choose the upgrade option, you would talk to a real person in seconds Very Happy and say you want to cancel and they can do it (Choosing the I want to cancel option will just hang up on you, that's how bad they want you to stay with them ... con artiest )
BTW you can buy out of the contract for a set ammount if you want to get out ASAP
