Haven't been able to connect since 11am yesterday, and they don't even know what's up with it! (At college atm!)
The @ light is flashing like mad...what's up?
I am writing YES WRITING to cancel my account as I give up listening to a recorded message telling me they are sorry they can't answer the phone because all of their advisors are busy. How many have they got 2. I have now spent in total 3 hrs trying to get them to answer the phone.
My ISP Orange are obtaining money from me calling themselves an ISP when they cannot provide a service. You are very lucky to be getting this message as I have tried all day to connect. Those out there not on Orange READ THIS MESSAGE AND DECIDE WOULD YOU CHOSE A COMPANY WHO YOU CAN'T GET THROUGH TO WHO HAVE A VERY POOR ALMOST, TO ME ANYWAY, NON EXISTANT SERVICE.
Can anyone tell me how to get in touch with Orange?

Phone 0844 873 8586, press the "Moving House" option (even though you're not moving house), and you will get through to the team in Middlesbrough. Then ask directly for "Escalations". Actually, don't ask....DEMAND!! When they keep fobbing you off and saying they're busy, demand again, and stress you are disgusted with the service, and will take your complaint to the highest level. Demand that you will only speak to a member of staff in "Escalations". Then, when you finally get put through, don't settle for anything less than your MAC code.
I've had the same problem. It started in earnest midday Sunday 18th May(although it had been spasmodic for 3 weeks prior to that and I just put it down to an odd DNS glitch) with certain websites being unable to display(oddly Amazon.co.uk/?tag=orangeprobcou-21&camp=6&creative=6786&linkCode=ur1"> Amazon seemed the worst effected).I have 3 computers on network so knew not an individual problem as couldn't access on those either.
The system finally went "down" at 10.02 am Monday 19th, although LiveBox showing connected to internet etc etc so I suspected it was an Orange Server Problem. Eventually came back up at 7pm last night although went "down" again for 30 mins at 10pm.
Everything Ok so far to-day apart from odd glitch at around 1.05pm to-day when for 10 minutes I kept getting "Unable to Display" message again although Orange were telling me - no problems etc etc etc on their phone line.
But my contract expires in June(after 12 months of hell with slow connections;outages and loss of link) and guess what ? - Hasta La Vista Orange. I can honestly say that you are THE worst service EVER(I have been a customer of Freeserve/Wanadoo and since Orange(we won't mention the horrendous problems in September 2007) it's been a catalogue of !!!!!!!!!! and your support line is SOMETHING ELSE again.
So Goodbye Orange(another "satisfied" customer disappears over the horizon)
I got through to after waiting forever. I said to her straight forward MAC code please. I was asked all the security Q's. Then she started. I appologised and said NO. MAC code please. Then she told me she had to speak to someone. I said MAC code please. She said she couldn't give me it. Minutes passed. She came back and said she was transfering me to YES someone else! I waited. Then after lots more minutes I got the tech.guy.
WHO SAID THEY WERE HAVING PROBLEMS!
I said not as much as me! MAC code please.
I was offered a month free.
I was told I would have to wait for my MAC code.
So I said OK give me a month free and my MAC code and I may decide to stay. No was the reply. Then I said MAC code please.
3-5 days by email.
You know the most frustrating bit no customer support! The phone call cost well over £2.
SO GOODBYE Orange - I am now on my way to free Sky (ISP voted I believe best customer support in poll) I was paying full Sky package anyway.
Sky advised me after a line test that my line could only get speeds of upto 3.5mb and that it would be better if I just got their free 2mb package.
Orange in the past had try to sell me some unachievable speedy package.
So thanks for the air space and good luck to those experiencing Orange.
The problem for me would be what it would cost to cancel. I tried to cancel after probs once before and the price was 96 quid because I still had over a year to go. I now have about 8 months.
