Ok, so i signed up for the £25 +VAT/Month (just over £30/Month) Anywhere laptop internet service (7.2Mb) with the option2 usb modem. At first i was very happy with the fact that i could log on and view pages anywhere. after a short while though i started to realize that i was getting nowhere near the 7.2Mb speeds that they claim i can reach. I usually average at about 500Kb/s or slower, seeing maximum speeds of about 2.5Mb on the very, very rare occasion, and this is when its actually working. I find the connection to be very intermittent working for a few minutes and then not responding for a few minutes after that. Some pages will load when other wont. This makes it extremely hard to download/upload files over a couple of meg because the connection will drop out before it has time to finish. Half the time it wont even let me receive my e-mail.
As i have heard, orange customer services are terrible so i though id turn to some people with some useful knowledge first.
P.s. sorry for posting in the wrong forum, but i couldnt find a forum for the 3g mobile/laptop internet.
Most of the mobile broadband systems are not that good at speed, depends on the signal, if your in an area that can get the 7.2 meg too I believe otherwise it's 3.6, and the general amount of traffic going through the system.
