am thinking of moving to skybroadband.if i ask for my MAC code from Orange and change my mind and stay with Orange, are Orange likely to get funny i.e. my connection deterioates etc
Expect sales patter on the phone such as "6 months free", but I guess this will end up being a new contract with me paying for a year after that.
She said I sounded what like I knew what I was talking about when asked if I was going to another LLU provider and from dialling to getting where she said would send it for issuing took about 5-10 minutes
Just for a laugh, I did a speedtest test just now. At its peak, the dial was actually at my synch speed, and the overall total was about 15% higher than it's ever been
I spoke too soon. Either something is funny going on with speedtest or Orange are somehow managing to spoof the packets as thinkbroadband shows the same old dull 1800 speed, and my router is still at 2272 even after a reboot.
I consistantly get spurious figures with speedtest but thinkbroadband seems more consistent - something to watch out for if Orange ask you to do speed tests, although they do usually ask you to use thinkbroadband

I have 2 friends going to o2 (now Sky) one is activated tomorrow ille let you know how he got on.
Your Netgear will work well with them if you choose not to use the their Speedtouch

I Joined o2 (now Sky) a couple of months ago and it has been fantastic.
My next door neighbour joined too and he is pleased with them also.
His speed is fast and reliable, the same as mine.
Very easy to setup the router that they supply too.
I get an even faster speed than I did with Idnet, which was a great one.

The one that was migrated today was previously with BT he requested a MAC tuesday before last (BT gave it to him immediately over the phone) he ordered 02 the same day so it was 10 days incl the weekend, the other ordered a few days ago and is a Vivacity (Entanet) customer.
