I am getting the same issue. Just moved into new house and had Orange transfer broadband from my old place. Incidentally, the firmware was updated prior to me moving house and worked fine in the old place. Now in the new house, every night around 10pm I loose my Livebox from my small network (8 port netgear gigabit switch) - when it drops, I cant ping the Livebox IP address from my wired PC (192.168.1.1) but can happily connect to other devices on my network. When I check the livebox, the red lights have become static. It can be fixed by interupting the power supply to reset the livebox, or believe it or not - by unplugging the connection from the line filter from the BT socket and reconnecting - must cause the box to reset in some way! Not sure what Orange are playing at but it has done it for 3 nights on the run now around the same time. Also, my line speed gets steadily worse upto the point of disconnection, then once I reset it goes back to a usable (although still pathetic 1.5Gbps on 8meg connection) speed. Not sure if I'm on a LLU connection at this new place - whether that's the difference or not - as my old connection at my old house was 100% - never had an issue, but then I was only 100yds from the exchange!
These problems seem to all be associated with the firmware upgrade. I have been having similar problems since last October. The solution can be to go in to the files and rebanding if this dont work you realy will need a new live box.
After a year of there bull including replacement live boxes and countless calls over £100 worth 6months free broadband which I only got 3months connected I am leaving.
Their tecnical support know as much as you could write on a postage stamp reading through their scripts.
