I am on a netgear router because I could not be bothered setting up Oranges router. This has only started to play up in the past 2 weeks and the internet had no problems before that. Have I been capped ? Any help would be greatly appreciated because I am considering switching to Sky broadband but to be honest I don't really want to.
ok I done the speed test and it said my username was incorrect because of The login name entered on this tool doesnt match that discovered by querying the network for your domain name. Please check your telephone number (or user name) and try again. If problem persists please contact your CP.
ermmm I am lost here is there any other speed test I could do

You need to use your broadband username which is something like :

My Orange email address is in the form of x@y.orangehome.co.uk
For the purposes of the BT test, you should be entering y.orangehome.co.uk@fs.
(In other words, remove the "@"symbol and anything in front of it from your Orange email address, then add "@fs" at the end to give you the username you need).
Is that what you've done? It's not the most intuitive thing and it took me a while to get that right. I don't know if it's easily found in the Netgear configuraation but in the Livebox config, it's shown as "Broadband username". That's what you enter on the BT test page.
