I dont understand what's going on. On the livebox the @ light keeps flashing rapidly and the last light (wireless symbol i think) is steady. My laptop can find the livebox and when I put in the WEP, says it is connect to livebox. But it says no internet connection, and the livebox does not seem to be picking up internet. This has all happened since the date the line became LLU. We've now spent £20 in phoning them, not realising it's probably not something on our side like they made us think it was. They kept making us check our computer connections, but our comps do connect....it's the box and internet not communicating. Anyhow, it's been a week and a half now, and I don't really know what we can do. We phoned again and asked for a MAC key which they said is pointless as if our internet isn't working with them, it wont work with any other provider either. Plus we didn't seem to be able to get to the MAC key dept anyhow. What would you do?

If you're talking to India they are probably "playing" ignorant but tell them according to UK law they cannot refuse you a MAC, insist they issue one if that's what you want.
Also they are known to lie about saying another ISP will have the same problem, just tell them that you know different and that as you're the customer it's you and not Orange who chooses your ISP.
Sometimes when you ask for a MAC, the connection miraculously re-appears, I think it works like the magic yellow paint you see around potholes in the road
