Hi,
We have just got a Livebox and want to connect two computers (one MAC, and one PC) to it using the ethernet ports. At the moment we can only make one computer work at a time using the red ethernet connection (the lower port on the Livebox). We dont want to connect WiFi with either computer but are having real problems making both work at the same time. (Either will work fine on its own) Perhaps this isn't possible with MAC and PC? Can anyone help with me with how to connect both, - do I need to network the two or what? Sorry am not very technical, also am living in France and have had to translate the entire installation instructions for Le Livebox, so may have gone wrong somewhere! (my french not too hot) Any advice would be very welcome.
Thank you

Errrm... To my knowledge.. Both Red & Yellow are both Ethernet ports... So have for example MAC plugged into yellow.. And Red into your PC... You'll need two Ethernet cables for this. If this isn't the answer you were looking for.. Could you give me a bit more info.. If you get any errors or anything like that..

I haven't tried this, but it seems possible that the new Livebox firmware may stop the yellow Ethernet port from being used with a computer unless TV over ADSL is disabled.
Log on to your Livebox (type "192.168.1.1" without the speech marks into the address bar of your browser; username / password admin / admin by default) > My services > Digital TV > change (assuming it's enabled!).
Thank you very much, - I have deactivated the TV setting on the yellow ethernet port as you suggested and both computers are working fine now. Thank you SO much, - it was driving me mad trying to fix this in French! Its very annoying that they don't mention this anywhere in the Livebox guide.
Coincidentally, I too live in France, don't speak great French and have a sh***y Orange Livebox which I couldn't connect using the second red ethernet port. Now I can.
Thanks for the advice.
