Just hand your MAC to Be once your order has been accepted they will give you a date of the migration day then on that date at some point your Orange connection will die, disconnect the equipment connect Be's or what router you want to use and it should connect to Be's network, once your satisfied your lines physically connected and up and running ring Orange and cancel your account, only do this after your migration is completed.

The basic MAC process as far as Orange are concerned is:
MAC requested.
Confirmation of MAC used and line transfer.
30 days notice before account cancelled.
Livebox returns pouch sent out.
I don't know specifically at what point the pouch is sent, may be immediately after confirmation or at the end of the 30 days as it's an automatic order when an account closes normally.
Yes, MAC's will work for 30 days from when generated, after that they expire and become useless, if you want to use it at that point you have to request a new one.
