hi can anyone help with this. i am on oranges upto 8 meg package and my brother is on the starter 2 meg package. we connect wirelessly with live boxes but for some reason we both show the same speeds 54.mbps. would i get a faster connection if i had a wired connection as i am on the faster package or is it just the way the wirelees speeds that are displayed that we are showing the same speeds.
Currently connection speed to the router, except in cases of really bad wireless connections, only really matter when transferring files between computers locally. They're almost always many times faster than the internet connection.
