Is there actually a manual available for the Livebox?
Orange do seem to rely on the CD to do everything for you but it does seem to present a number of issues including the fact that it doesn't accept a hyphen (-) in the username even though my long-term Orange-user client (just upgraded to Homemax) has such a username.
Whether a call to the help-desk is useful depends on the 'luck of the draw' - my first call got me some useful advice on how to type a hyphen on the keyboard followed by a recommendation to call another premium number which specialises in Liveboxes
Fortunately, the second number was answered by a more-competent person who took me though the routine of addressing the router (sorry, Livebox) directly which is what I would have done in the first place with some relevant documentation.
There are some on-going issues wth this Livebox going 'out to lunch' on a regular basis so I would really like to consult the source documentation if anybody can point me to it.
Previously, we used the very reliable BT Voyager to access the basic Orange Broadband service but the implication of the 'sparse' Homemax documentation was that the Livebox setup needed to be recognised before the Broadband phone facility could be provided.
Does anybody know if other routers can be used with this service-the BT Voyager 2500V used previously has a broadband phone connection.
