Hmmmmm, day two is ending and still no resume of normal service.
I too have the same old story as the rest of you folks out there, plenty of addresses I cannot get connected to, example BT.com, uk.reuters.com just to name a couple I couldn't reach today.
My main bugbear is that I cannot reach my business website, without the help of a laptop and a T-Mobile "Web n Walk" wireless card, which I had to subscribe last year as Orange connection problems left me without internet access for 6 weeks. Thank god I had the foresight to renew the T-Mobile contract. Let call it an insurance policy.
Anyone tried the Orange status, before they try to get "technical help". Appears that service was OK at 5pm Thursday........but why no update on the status this weekend Orange? Surely the least they could do is to give out some sort of a statement on the main Orange website, at least it would save hundreds of customers the hassle of phoning their customer service. Oooops, sorry I forgot the 50p per minute part.
Enough's enough, I've asked for my MAC code yesterday, I'm off to BT (even though I cannot get on their website)
Orange have promised I will receive the MAC code in 5 working days, .....I'm not holding my breath.
Yea, it crashed for me Thursday night I keep looking at Orange website, hoping they'd make a statement but guess not *shrugs*
im giving them that 48 hours exactly, if it aint fixed by then I'll try and get outta my contract and change isp. really appalling service x
yeah, thats the argument ill have with them. seems that more and more sites are going down, another one i go on that (i think) was working yesterday, isn't today. hopeless.
in regards to the phone rates, if you go on saynoto0870.com you can enter any premium rate number and they'll give you a free or local phone number that you can use instead! x
Well, I don't know about you all, but my service seems to be back - not sure if it was a solution I did and needed to restart on, or if Orange woke from there coma long enough to patch the gap. Will let you know if it was something I did.
