Someone posted a few weeks ago now about only getting onto certain websites during about a 6 hour period. the same thing has happened to me again, I can only access this website, Google and 1 or 2 others. Everyother site has the "IE cannot display the webpage.
I noticed it when i couldn't sign into my PS3 online account. Just tried a few websites and some are back but now otehrs have gone.
Orange fobbed me off (as usual - I just got off the phone to them after being on hold for 15 minutes) but it only ever seems to happen around 9pm onwards (typical as I use it most around that time).
Either they are doing something to the servers 9always nice to be informed) or they are having issues and cut off sections. To be honest it could be so many things. I'm sure someone here knows more though.

Anyone else having this issue (again)?
I had the same problem earlier. Did the TCP fix thing and lost everything (I was getting google, this site, but not bbc or ebay).
Got a mate to advise and in the end put settings in and its resolved.
I've had enough of Orange and was thinking of moving.
Would like to say thanks to ppl who keep posting solutions on here.

Hi all
You could try the MTU RWin Tweaking guide which seems to help under the conditions you are all experiencing...
Please READ CAREFULLY before you decide to do anything though! In fact, print the pages first in case you get stuck!!!
NOTE: There are separate instructions for Windows Vista users.
The websites that you are unable to access are the same as those described in other posts where MTU and RWin settings require changing. Under these circumstances, people report that they are (fortunately) stll able to access OrangeProblems.co.uk
If you find that this resolves your Orange problems, then please post back with the settings that you used as this will help others establish their settings.
Let us know how you get on - in fact, if you are not particularly experienced at changing settings on your computer, then perhaps you should wait until somebody can post back with the results of their tweaking.
Has anyone been able to identify what changes to server/system settings which Orange make that causes this ?
If individuals have not changed any of their computer settings then it must be "system tweaks" that Orange make that causes this......does any IT specialist on here have any suggestions ?

You would have thought common sense would be is to inform effected customers of any system tweaks with a guide of what to do, but then again it might effect their premium line revenues

Which yet again proves to me that Orange do not fully understand the effects of their tweaking LLU/server settings and that's why so many customers experience problems that Orange cannot successfully advise on.

It is interesting to see how many ppl were having problems last night, I'm in Staffordshire and at around 9pm although my connection was active there was no data transfer so I was unable to brows web pages and check email, I rebooted my livebox but this didn't seem to help. I went to my firnds also locally to me who is also on Orange and lo and behold, she had the same problems but all seemed to be ok by around 11pm.
