Is there any way to connect a hard drive to the Livebox so that it can act as a networked drive. I have two USB drives, one self-powered and one with a seperate power supply. I have tried the self-powered one on the USB port next to the reset/light bottons and it just makes the Livebox go crazy.
Complicated answer, yes if you hack the livebox and alter the software, which isn't for the faint hearted. Personally I wouldn't even attempt it myself.
The better option is to use a "NAS" which usually work over an ethernet connection.
The self powered drive you have is obviously drawing too much power from the livebox, that port is supposed to be used to connect a printer which are almost always seperately powered.
