Hi all, I've had a livebox for over a year and it works fine on one of my pc's. The problem is I have another pc in the house with the speed touch adaptor which up until recent connected fine to the wireless connection. Now thou it can’t connect at all. If you go to the list of available networks the wanadoo livebox network doesn’t even come up on the list, I know the speedtouch program is working as I can connect to my neighbour’s network
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the network adaptor program which came up with some possible reasons as to why it won’t connect
Livebox not turned on –live box is on
Wireless adaptor not plugged in – it is!
Too far away from livebox – it worked before with the computer and adaptor in the same place
I’ve tried installing the soft where with the security off which didn’t work ether.
Move the livebox next to it and see if it can detect it, best to get it working then move it back away, that way you know what you're dealing with.
First thing I'd suggest would be to change the channel the livebox is using through it's config.
Wired connection,
Browse to 192.168.1.1,
Access username and password are "admin",
Go into Securtiy > Wireless Connection,
Change the channel, wait for it to go back to the main page, wait a few seconds and see if the adapter can see/connect.
You may need to jump around the channels and bit or try several to get it wroking.
thank for the reply Elhana, i posted this then went off to uni and forgot about the problem. Now i'm home again i'm tring to get it working again.
The problem is still the same i've renstaled every thing and gone through the Orange trouble shooting thing. The computers are currently next to each other the wireless adaptor can see the live box 85% signal strength, when i click on it nothing happens, it rufuses to connect (it doesnt even attempt to try)
I've tried the installation disc and it still comes up with an error 910. Any ideas anyone?

The one thing you missed off the Orange Help list for Error 910 is Administrative Access......are you sure while you've been away at Uni somebody hasn't changed the setting ?
