I recently got a livebox and was told I could make free evening and weekend calls. I'm on the £17.99 package and was told that there wouldn't be any further charges.
However, on this months bill, I have a 'wireless and talk' charge of an extra £4 a month.
I can't find any reference to this on Orange's website - any ideas anyone??
The older £17.99 package (option 2) doesn't inculde wireless and talk, it's £4 extra. However if you change to the newer Plus package then you get and same but wireless and talk is included in the price so you only then pay the £17.99.
If I remeber rightly, that is the 'wireless' charge.
I am sure I remember an Orange rep saying to me it was 17.99 a month for the broadband, and for an extra 4 you could go wireless, ie the £4 is rent on their equipment.
Don't quote me on that though, it was a while ago and I am currently waiting for my broadband package from BT

check your cc/direct debit for the charge
if you are on the plus package (like me) they add on the £4 then take it back off before billing you
well I called customer services, and they said it was a mistake and the charge would be removed.
A week later it hadn't been removed so I e-mailed customer services, who said there wasn't any extra charge on the account, so forget about it.
Then I got my credit card bill, and I have actually been charged £25!!
Called customer services again, and spoke to a very helpful person who promised to 'escalate it', and said that the extra £7 would be refunded on my next bill.
I shall wait for my next bill and keep you all posted on what happens...
well I did get a refund this month - but only £2.84, not the £7.47 I was owed. I phoned Orange (got India) and they said they would refund the £4.63 difference, but what worries me is that I'm still not being billed correctly.
