I have posted here previously asking for help. I lost my password and cannot access it on my personal email because of no working Orange connection at home. I have had the same problems as all on here. Disconnections, non existent tech support and customer service etc etc.
I have some advice but also a few questions about my current status.
I was signed up for 18 month £5 "unlimited" Orange BB service through my mobile contract.
I noticed that via the my account Orange BB page there is an option to upgrade my account to free Orange BB 2 meg service for 12 months.
I figured 12 months free awful non service is better than paying £5 per month for 18 months for a service that doesn't work.
So i then called to cancel my free BB service. Upon requesting the MAC code the surly chap informed me that i had now also renewed my mobile contract. After pushing the guy on this he admitted that this might actually not be true and i would have to check with Orange mobile. i.e. an empty threat. I ve checked and there has been no change to my mobile contract - WATCH OUT FOR THIS!
In my anger i forgot to ask how the MAC will be sent out. I was promised that it will be sent in 3 - 5 working days. Will it be posted or emailed and to which email account??? Whats the course of action if it doesn't appear? Any advice??
I will post back if this works. If so I would recommend that any Orange BB people on £5 unlimited contracts with their mobiles consider doing this. I made a point of asking if i would not be charged for cancelling the free broadband contract and was told on 3 separate occasions by 3 different people i would not.
Can anyone tell me if i will be landed with hidden charges???

I HOPE SOME PEOPLE MIGHT ALSO BE ABLE TO GET RID OF Orange TOO.
