You dont fix it, it is Orange being their usual reliable self. The only way to cure this problem is to get a MAC code, move to an ISP that can give you a decent connection.

I don't know if you got this sorted Dean, but this seem's to be a problem effecting more and more people since Orange introduced LLU in the BT exchanges.
This worked for me and a few others but doesn't seem to work for everyone unfortunately!
Try installing a different modem, (i used my old Wanadoo Thomson usb modem) then connect through this.
Once this connects you can disconnect the modem and go back to using the livebox which should work ok after that.
Like I say it doesn't work for everyone but after reading about it on these forums I gave it a try and it worked.
