But if you had received an "undeliverable email" message then there would be no need to phone.
This is the point, it does seem that Orange is not notifying any undeliverable emails.....whether it's to Hotmail or Orange or whatever ISP or for whatever reason.
Hi M8, yeah they used to... back in wanadoo days but no more
WOW since i complained to Orange Executive... none of my emails are reaching hotmail destinations.
Rather than helping, its just made it 120% worse. Thanks Orange.

I don't think that there is anything 'inevitable' about emails being bounced back when rejected.
For example, I have used various domain name hosting services where you can filter for specific addresses ( bill@mydomain.com, joe@mydomain.com, etc) with the option of either bouncing-back unrecognised addresses or simply deleting them with no message.
Hotmail, being FREE, is a very popular service and is also the target for a deluge of spam.
It is probably inevitable that some email going to Hotmail will be lost wherever you send it from but is is also likely the the notorious Orange outgoing email servers do contribute to the problem.
I am not one to admit defeat but I don't think that anything you do involving Orange of Hotmail is likely to solve this problem permanently
Hi I just joined - I'm not with Wandoo buit found that lately Fsnet emails weren't getting to my Hotmail account - also they aren't getting to my alternative Yahoo email either - the sender can't be getting error delivery receipts etc which I see is a problem all round.
Yet another Yahoo user I know - not sure if them paying for the YahooMail Plus is making a difference - is getting emails from same person with the odd "fail to deliver - message content rejected " - then they phone and find it has still been delvered.

Hope you guys have luck but don't like waht i've read with their poor support.

One thing that comes over clearly from this excellent forum is that various issues tend to get mixed-up with each other.
While there may well be specific issues with Hotmail, Yahoo and the non-reporting of 'undelivered' emails, each of those problems could also be accounted for by the well-established failures of Orange outgoing mail servers--if the stuff never leaves, it won't arrive and it won't be bounced back by the recipient servers.
The fact that the outgoing outgoing email service works sometimes, which it would if simply overloaded, tends to confuse the issue.
Looking at the overall picture from the posts on this forum, there are clearly persistent long-terms problems with Orange outgoing mail.
Best bet is to make alternative arrangements, at least for the outgoing email.
This problem is just ridiculous. I spent ages with customer support trying to get this resolved in the hope 'quickly'. First they wanted to go through the usual 'have you checked' sort of questions. When I convinced them that it was THEIR problem, they just went quiet on the support call progress.
Emailled a formal communication the Executive Office in November - nothing. Have now written a formal complaint about it.
Given that Hotmail addresses are ubiqutious, this issue really needs some sort of priority to be 'fixed'. Its just appalling that 3 months can pass without being able to send to hotmail.com or hotmail.co.uk addresses.
If anyone finds it useful, my returned mail transcripts are:
