There is apparently a new system being trialled for people who use over the limits of their package. When someone goes over the new system limits their connection to, I believe, 1/2 a meg but I forget exactly right now.
It's only being done to a small number of people as part of a trial and I'm not certain how far through it is. It does indicate that you can still be removed if still getting high usage with the speed cap in place. Also it seems to show that you can freely get out of the contract when capped if you so choose, although that could just be for the trial.

Hi Elhana
I would have thought adding access to usage stats in accounts and just making it clear what they call "unlimited" would be more honest and work better, but with the debate of advertising "up to" by (all ISP's) and "unlimited" by (All the large ISP's) will be a thing of the past this time next year.

I'm on the £9.99 a month "retention plus" package for the "up to 8MB LLU service", capped to 2272 speeds since 5MB LLU doesn't work (but 5 MB ADSLMax does)
Just a minor update as I knew I'd forget something.
It's 1/2 meg between 6pm and midnight, minimum of 6 weeks monitoring usage and anyone put on this should already be informed about it.
Steve, yeah usage stats in the member centre has been long suggested, requested, and supposedly coming.
If you go over 40gig (this has and does vary without much warning, previously 30 then 50gig) then no matter the account it gets you a warning and then cancellation if it continues.
