juat been 40 minutes on the phone to india (nice :/) and demanded an authorisation code apparently needed in order to process cancellation of my contract without any owing charges being made.
After going to his team leader twice, the indian fella finally says that they need to have done Three line tests before they can proceed with cancellation. Anybody else heard of this??? I have only had 2 done although my internet has not been working for over 30 days now. I repeated time and again that their t&c's state that 30 days is a reasonable amount of time to resolve a query and that they hadnt so i wanted the damn code.
I have told them about me gettng in touch with trading standards and the guy seemed to cack himself. So, at the moment they are doing a final line test.
My bet is that they will reckon there is an error on the line and that they willl need to send out another death, sorry i mean livebox.
anyone know what i can do
when i ring tomoz i dont wanna put the phone down until the contract has been cancelled and i dont owe any cancellatin fees. Some advice would be great about how to go about this.
they even had the cheek to say they tried to ring me (2 1/2 weeks after my original complaint) to alk about the problem. I todl the guy he was making it up. i said "you could be saying you rang me last night, last week, 3 days ago at 4.05 etc" i go to work and cant sit in all day waiting for an unexpected call.
Cannot wait to get away from these lying, theiving b*stards. when i tried to cancel with viring, no problem, when i phoned Virgin back up for the disconnection date to say ive change my mind, they credited the account with £30 as a gesture of good will.
Orange have a smart a*se indian arguing with me over whether the customer service line is a remium rate line or not, i said well its not bloody local is it mate.
anyway, please give me some advice, i want to resolve this once and for all tomorrow.
I think *they* (Orange) want *you* to do 3 speed tests (usually at thinkbroadband) before they will progress a speed issue - and not for them to do 3 line tests - although I could be wrong
