My pc is connecting fine. But I am trying to connect a wireless ready laptop.
It sees the livebox but when i enter the wep security key from the laptop it will not accept it.
If I plug in the inventel usb dongle thing from my pc to my laptop then the laptop works. But I want to use the laptop without the dongle thing. What do I do next
Try disabling security on the livebox and then connecting, if this works you should then be able to re-apply the security and enter your wep key.
You may also have to experiment with the different settings ie wep, wpa etc.
Did you press the 1 button on the livebox so it was in pairing mode with the antenna light flashing? If not then that's probably why, the other adapter as it's MAC address is already in the livebox would be able to connect fine while the built in wireless wouldn't as it's not yet on the list.
