I see that the new 'Home Max' package now restricts the FREE international destinations on the second phone to 30. Does this restriction also apply to the current 'Broadband Unlimited Talk Service - Any Time International' package or does the existing package still have FREE calls to 100 international destinations.
I have never been notified of any changes to my 'Any Time International' package.

If you follow the link for Unlimited from this page you'll see that the PDF still shows 100 free destinations. However, knowing Orange, there's no telling whether it's simply not been updated...I'd watch my online account closely, if I were you.

The page you quoted shows different cost listings against package names so I presume that at the moment they have different quantities of FREE international calls.
Home Max or Home Select (last updated 11 Sep 07)
Broadband Unlimited (last updated 17 Jan 07)
I will keep my eye on my bills and regularly visit the Call Prices Page to keep up to date with any changes.

Yes, well I presume so, too - it's just that assuming too much where Orange are involved is dangerous (or at least potentially inconvenient). For instance, they state clearly in their T&C that they will contact users in the event of over usage of broadband accounts yet people on this forum have reported that their accounts have been axed without warning. Simply publishing terms doesn't seem to lead Orange to feel that they have much responsibility to stick to them. Although I have to say that I've not experienced such problems myself, I wouldn't trust them as far as I can throw them.
We found the destinations we need are no longer available with a recorded message saying not possible to connect. Mind you the call quality was appalling when you could actually get through.
Well the Phillipines is listed as having some connection problem at the moment if it was there you were trying to call. Otherwise if it's not on the free list it should just connect the call and charge you for it.
Where is it that Philippines is listed as having connection problems? I'm really cheesed off that we might lose free calls to the Philippines ..... that was the only reason I went with Orange over Sky in the first place! It currently saves me a small fortune on my wife calling home!
Internal status, shows there's some international connection problem for the Philipines. I think last I checked it was expected to be cleared up "soon".
Does anyone know if Orange actually plans to continue with the 100 free international call destinations for existing customers?? This was the only reason I took on this package in the first place! Wife calls Philippines all the time - was costing us a fortune on BT - so she bought her family a landline and now gets free calls with this package! I'd be cheesed off if we were to loose them so soon after getting the package!
An email to Orange Help has produced no response whatsover! Has anyone managed to get a reply on this subject?
I believe the 100 free countrys will continue for as long as you're on that package but change package and you'll then be on the 30 list. No guarantees though as there's no details on this either way.
After 14 days Orange have finally responded to me on the issue of whether the 100 free international calling destinations will continue with the unlimited package. The news looks good - here is their response.......
Thank you for your email.
We will be glad to assist you.
We would like to reassure you that if you are on the Broadband Unlimited Package with
free calls to 100 destinations you will continue to be on the same
package and we do not plan to withdraw the facility for the same.
The above facility will only change if you upgrade your package to Home
Max.
For more clarification for the above we would request you to contact our
Broadband Customer Support Team on the number 0870 010 2462 with IVR
options 1 and 4(Line open from 7am to 11pm, 7 days a week,calls are
charged at National rates).
If you are on home max then with the second phone you can call 30 international destinations free of charge...if your on broadband unlimited anytime international destinations then you still have 100 international destinations HOWEVER should you regrade to home max this will drop to 30.....
note: broadband unlimited is no longer available to regrade to unless you've been offered a retention package...
