Hi Candace Pfau
Get her to open a free GMail account and pop enable it it uses different ports and will bypass Orange/Wanadoo servers completely, when i was with Orange i used GMail (and still do) because my Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange email account was totally useless all that got through was spam.
Even if she uses Gmail just to keep in touch with you at least you will get each others emails.

Thanks so much Steve for that idea. I think Hilary did try and get a Gmail
account. I had to send her an invite. But then she never emailed me from
it or it did not activate. We could try that. I do have some problems with my windstream/alltel broadband account and usually no matter what the idiot
(and I say that to include myself as I have worked on call centers for MSN and other providers with very little training) at the customer service says, it is usually "their" problem. They will
put you through the going to web pages, blah, blah blah. And then nothing works and a few hours later, all is right with the world. In my case our provider is a new broadband and has oversold its base. Thus, you might as well just call it "dialup" at around 6pm when everyone gets home and jumps
on the computer. So, having worked on the other side of the fence, sometimes I just wait for them to fix it. Thanks again Steve. Hope
your weather is back to lovely and not gone all pearshaped. I thought you guys usually have an Indian summer in October.

If she wants to use it with whatever email client she uses on her pc she must go into the GMail settings and pop enable it ( the instructions are all there mand is explained clearly ) so she can download the emails to her pc otherwise she will need to log into the webmail to check btw no need for invites anymore.
The weather here in London was cold last week now its mild and dull, autumn is poised lol.
Good luck with the emails
