hiya all, i'm praying someone here can help me, as i'm not exactly the most technical bloke in the world and i can't seem to figure out why i can't get my ps3 online.
basically, my broadband is through Orange (free through my mobile contract). i am trying to run my ps3 with the ethernet cable (supplied with the ps3) and the other end goes straight into the back of my pc. when i was with BT broadband a while ago, there was a space in the back of the modem for an ethernet cable, but the one Orange have supplied (speedtouch) only has a space for the phone line. hence why i'm putting the ethernet cable into the correct gap on the back of my pc.
i'm running the ps3 network set up automatically, but for the life of me, i can't figure out why it won't register.

I dont have any experience with the ps3, however it should be very similar to setting up an xbox. Check this link out for instructions for setting up Internet connection sharing and see if it helps.
