My problem may be similar to others described on the site, and perhaps someone might recognise it as one they solved themselves, so help please!
I eventually managed to get my Livebox working, running between 4.5 and 5Meg. It was ok for a while, but now I am getting (what appear to be) constant dropped connections - I can be in the middle of a web session and suddenly I am unable to download. I get "IE cannot display the webpage" or "connection terminated" (OE). The @ light remains off. After a minute or two (though often longer), and without any action on my part, the @ light suddenly fires up again and whatever I was working on downloads! The same loss happens with OE e-mails, though only when I was in IE first.
The strange thing is that, when I swap back to my old Speedtouch USB modem, everything works perfectly! - Good speed and no dropouts
Needless to say Orange's helpdesk was less than useless - everything is MY fault. Unfortunately I am not familiar with LANs and ethernet connections to know whether the problem lies there, but I am going to dump the Livebox and revert to my USB modem if no-one has an answer for me!
