Re; the deleted email accounts....spent all night copying some of the thousands of emails....but, does anyone know how long we can keep this account for or if it will be deleted again....Also, how can we dial up (to save it from being deleted) if Orange is not our broadband supplier...not sure if dialup still works if you have broadband..! I'll need days and lots of patience to copy everything...don't know a quick way of doing it so i'm forwarding emails one by one...but musn't complain..the universe was kind to us...thanks steve by the way for your help!

Well if you retrieve it then it should stay open for another 219 days before requiring retrieval again.

Dialup works providing you have and connect up a dialup modem with the connection details setup on the PC.

Glad for you and those who had their accounts restored if i was you once you have sorted everything out ide open a free GMail account and ditch them you wont have to worry about dialling up at all good luck

Wahay - it's back! I wasted no time dowloading all my messages - and will never leave so much important stuff on the server again. Thanks to everyone who left all the suggestions on this forum - I even feel more kindly disposed to Orange after this.
Am I glad I just looked on here before starting another batch of hounding some poor bod on the end of a line just to vent my spleen.....again. Just tried my account and got on, is there a quick way of retrieving everything please I dare not log out.....its called fear.
Did anyone ever hear why they put them back, was it the many complaints or what??
I never got an answer from Orange but a snotty note from the complaints ISP to say you have to complain, that was painful and I asked advice but got no help....anyway got them now I hope so all good

Maybe because I made such a problem of myself writing the the Exec office they have decided not to bother?
Made me laugh a bit as they sent me an email saying the price of dial-up is going up. not too interested in staying with them now, its a bit ironic I feel after what they have done.

Tuesday 2nd October 2007 the price per minute that you pay to go online will be:
5p per minute on weekdays (Monday 6am - Friday 6pm)
4p per minute weekday evenings (6pm-6am)
2p per minute weekend (Friday 6pm - Monday 6am)

Well from your posts it does not look like its a date related restoration, mine is still not restored either, lets hope they will be soon or I am firing another email off and then a letter.
If we all stick together we can hopefully make them restore all the accounts.

Please read below of an email I have just received.
Further to my recent contact regarding your deleted email account, I would like to take this opportunity to update you on the situation.
I can confirm that a fix has now been implemented and all deleted email accounts will be fully reinstated by Thursday 13 September 2007. In order to reactivate your account you will need to log into the account using your username and password and the account will then become active. Once this has been completed you should be able to retrieve all of your emails and contacts.
Please once again accept my apologies for the inconvenience this issue has caused and I thank you for the patience and understanding you have shown whilst this matter has been investigated.
