Following the excellent advice from your site (RE: Limited Site Access), I have managed to fix the internet access for the family PC. However, I am still unable to browse 'ordinary' web pages on my laptop.
To re-iterate, the connection with the Wireless Router (Belkin G Plus Mimo ADSL) is fine, and everything signifies that it is in fact working - until I attempt to browse web pages.
Our home PC (Windows XP), which is connected to the router via LAN - works absolutely fine now after the DRTCP fix - however, my Vista laptop (connected Wirelessly) is still unable to load web pages (aside from this one!). I can connect to my Wireless Router at work (thankfully, it isn't an Orange account) - and although I didn't think I'd need it again, I have tried to duplicate the DRTCP settings on my laptop - although Vista appears to simply reject the saved settings and clear them each time.
Without starting from scratch and undoing the good work that i've achieved in fixing the home PC - how can I get my laptop back online, when sharing the connection?

Hi DRTCP is not compatable with Vista but ive pasted this from another site case you cant load page up.
Changing MTU
To change the MTU in Vista:
Run an administrator command prompt. Start > All Programs > Accessories, right-click Command Prompt and Run as administrator, Allow it to have administrator privileges.
Type/copy the following command:
netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Local Area Connection" mtu=xxxx store=persistent
Where xxxx = the MTU that you want. Rebooting isn't required.
If you have a router, ensure that the MTU is set to the MTU chosen here.
I presume I enter the same MTU that I entered on the home PC using DRTCP? - that being 1430?
Unfortunately, having entered 1430 as the MTU, by running the command prompt as suggested - I still can't access web pages on my Vista laptop when sharing the connection via wireless.
Any other suggestions?
The internet connection on the home PC is still working fine.
As mentioned earlier, my latop operates fine on my Wireless Connection at work - it's only 8 months old (Dell Inspiron 6400) - so I would presume that all the latest drivers are installed and everything is in working order, or that Vista would check for any driver updates on a regular basis.
I've convinced the old man to give Orange the boot, but these things generally take time and effort - leaving me to fix the mess in the meantime. Not being able to work from home is proving hassle though - and I could soon become the prime suspect for murdering the office rat with a stapler and/or blunt paper knife - if I can't resolve the wireless solution at home ASAP.
MSN appears to have signed in for the first time in weeks today (there is usually an error message) - but still no web page access.
Right, I have now configured my Belkin router to work with my laptop through the LAN connection - which is fine.
However, a new issue has arisen in that my Wireless Network Device can no longer communicate with the router - i get an error message saying that the router settings are different than those saved on my computer.
While I now have internet access when plugged in to the LAN port - as soon as I unplug it and attempt to go wireless - it appears that all my hard work is quickly undone.
What settings have I changed that could explain this? and is there an easy of fixing it? It has only appeared since I changed the MTU as directed in the command prompt.
Just so you know, Windows Vista manages my wirless devices.
All sorted. I just reconfigured the router and gave the network a new name.
I think Vista was simply trying to connect to the existing to the old network with saved settings.
My laptop came with Intel's Wireless manager - but I had to revert back to Windows own when the Vista update came through the post - as the Intel Pro was no longer compatible with Vista.
Damn! Spoke too soon. My laptop can now communicate with my router again - but I can oly access web pages that are cached (and this one) - which reverts to our original problem.
I can get full access from the LAN connection, but again, Orange doesn't seem to like it when I go wireless.
I'm presuming after taking all these steps - that the commnad prompt MTU fix doesn't work as it should. DRTCP's reluctance to work with Vista appears to be the major problem in getting around Orange's BIGGER problem.

If your wired connection is working ok then it isnt your dns settings but its worth a try ide suggest OpenDNS which is
Primary: 208 67 222 222
Secondary: 208 67 220 220
and you need to configure that on ur pc too
