Also I would like to possibly delete all of my records. I mainly recorded them here as a convenient place to keep a history of my speeds post and pre LLU
Also, am I free to print the graph out and use it in correspondence. Obviously it will have the orangeproblems watermark, but I wasn't sure under what terms it could be reproduced. Cheers

Hi there

Great to see this information now available.
When I check my area the stats for average/max/min speeds are identical to mine. Therefore I assume I am the only member in the area reporting speeds.
Any chance of adding a couple of extra columns, showing number of members reporting speed tests and the number of tests reported.
This will help for comparison purposes.
This will be the case for some areas I'm afraid - we are about to start promoting the speeds statistics, so hopefully, more will start adding their speeds (to your area!).
Yes, we were considering adding a column explaining how many records there were and/or how many members are contributing to the speeds, but the issue arises when, for example, a member does not want his/her speeds disclosed and he/she is the only member contributing to the speeds for that particular area.
What we are considering is adding the number of members contributing if it is over 5 members - but leave this with me while I think about it for a bit - I will get back to you on this! We are still developing it!
We are adding times soon - i.e. the best speeds are at.... And the worst speeds are at...
We will also add days of the week and some other info too - it's on it's way... Soon!!!

Deleting records - This will be possible in the near future... We are currently setting up a "more organised" profile area to adjust your settings... At the moment, if you change your package or ISP, the best thing to do is set up another profile...
Profiles are unique to a combination of:
Your username
Your telephone number
Your ISP
Your broadband package (e.g. up to 8 meg, 2 meg etc.)
Thus if you are on a 2meg connection and have now been upgraded to 8 meg, you should set up a new profile via the exchanges page... This will then appear in your speeds page as a separate profile.
Printing the graphs, tables - You're free to print these and use them. We would ask you to make a reference to www.OrangeProblems.co.uk where ever you use them.
We rolled out the speeds feature quite quickly because we realised the potential use of this data... (A recent survey by Which? reported on failing speeds by ISPs... And they did not have as much data as we currently have) ... Thus there are lots of features yet to add and implement. We needed to start getting the data in as soon as possible, so that is why we are working as quickly as we can to get you, our members, the information they want.
OrangeProblems.co.uk is not a full-time job and so I do as much as I can in my spare time (and I do not seem to have too much of that at the moment!).
Please be assured that we do read and take on board all suggestions and queries and act on them if we see fit.
I hope this helps for now!
We'll keep you posted with any new features via the forum.
"My router is reporting 2272kbps downstream and 288 upstream"
Same here!!! Rubbish. They have told me though that the engineers have located a possible fault on my line and it should be fixed by tomrrow.
Got to say though, "Heard it all before".

FIXED SPEED:
Downstream Upstream
Rate (kbps) 2272 288
These stats would indicate to me that you are on a fixed 2mb line, so your speed will not increase above 2.
Not very good if you are on an up to 8mb service. Could be worse some are on 608 which is about 0.5 mb.
For the reason you will have to ask Orange. Until you ask for a MAC code they will not take the cap off.
Broadband firms must give potential customers clearer information about connection speeds, a consumer group said yesterday.
In a letter to the chief executives of the UK's leading broadband providers, the Ofcom consumer panel says there is "widespread concern" about the issue.
It says publicised "up to" speeds are often much quicker than the actual connection speeds which many people get. The independent panel wants broadband firms to change their sales practices. They should advise potential customers about what the likely connection speed would be on their line.
And the "cooling off" period should be extended so people can test the speeds before signing contracts, the panel says.
It also calls on broadband providers to let their customers end their contracts without penalty if their connection speeds turn out to be much lower than those which were publicised.
In a letter to the chief executives of six leading internet service providers, Ofcom consumer panel chief executive Colette Bowe said broadband customers do not get enough information about what they are buying.
The panel is "aware" of the technical reasons for the "up to" terminology used in marketing material, the letter says.
The letter is addressed to the chief executives of BSkyB, BT Group, Carphone Warehouse, Orange UK, Tiscali UK and Virgin Media. The consumer panel is an independent group set up to advise the regulator Ofcom on consumer issues in the communications market.

Since all the diagnostic steps have been done we request that you call our Technical Support to perform a line test...blah, blah, blah"

I added a caveat to my first posting after you replied, nhyder.
auditmypc and dslzone still showed ~ 4.2-4.4M, but I think my LLU port has
changed in some fashion as the upload speed has altered slightly too, from 251 kbps to 249 kbps consistently. Your reply suggests I complain, but my speed appears to have gone up.
I'll keep an eye on it as it could all be a damp squib.
Yes.....I don't know what's going on but there are several "dodgy" speed test results in the last few hours.
My speedtest.net showed normal (5700) but Thinkbroadband was 200 !!
Another poster achieved 13000+ on an Orange Max connection with speedtest.net !!!!
