Except for the fact that it's not customers email accounts that are being deleted.
Any account deleted is simply because that person ISN'T using the account, as a (paying) customer, to actually dial-up to the internet with, as it's suspended after 219 days of non use (actual dial-up usage, that's what the accounts are for in the first place). Therefore, those users aren't customers of Orange. Then at the 260 day mark, the whole account is deleted.
Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo etc as email providers, earn their revenue from advertising. Dial-up accounts not being used means the account will be deleted as it isn't being used for the purpose intended. The email address that goes with the account is a free service that goes with the dial-up account.
It's all in the terms and conditions, but it's also common sense. It's also the standard nature of any business. You don't pay, you don't receive.
lol more staff posting the T&C's its a shame they dont post to help customers out.

Thanks for the welcome stevieboy
Aren't all first posts very direct on a particular topic or thread if you look at it that way? Pretty hard to comment with a first post, on multiple threads, and issues.
