I'm new to the forum and thought I'd start a new topic to see if anyone can advise. I recentl upgraded from pay as you go to a pay monthly contract.
All was well until I tried to log into my email account which was set up linked to the mobile number I used for pay as you go and then ported to pay monthly. I attempted to login and after passing through the checks found that my emails had all disappeared.
I contacted customer services from my phone and they said that I would need to send an email to their Orange customer services (OCS) team, which I did, with no response other than the automated acknowledgement.
I understand now from various phone conversations with OCS staff that my email account has been terminated and I would have to have the account reset! I'm annoyed about losing some of the emails but don't mind so much if I can just have the address reset so that people can email me again.
OCS told me to contact 439 Technical services team from my phone at a cost of 50p per minute. What they didn't tell me when ringing this number is that I would have to speak to someone who lacked either the ability or intention of assisting me. The priceless statement of "I'm not sure who can help you" amused me slightly especially as the sentence cost me about 6p. I've been given another number, 435, which I have found to be disconnected.
Back to the original statement does anyone know how I can get around this?
I too had my email account deleted, apparently Orange are trying to undelete all the accounts that have been deleted automatically by their servers in the next 10 days!
I suggest the more people dial up their helpline number 08708720099, option 2 and complain the better.

orange.net isn't really a broadband issue is it? isn't it just an add on to your mobile phone ? (The number you quoted is for new wanadoo registrations)
Don't call 0870 if you can help it. Try 0800 0790438 for pay monthly customers. PAYG doesnt seem to have an 0800 equivalent, but there are plenty of 0800 numbers on saynotto0870 that you could try.
Last time I called OCS they were UK based and very helpful, but I PAC'ed my phone over about 6 months ago so I don't know about now
