The second time I've moved home with Orange, and the second time I've had problems!
48 hours after my phone line had been installed, I called Orange and gave them my new details to update my account. The person on the other end of the phone told me "that's all gone through ok, it could take up to 15 days, but try in a week".
So I waited 15 days until today, still no broadband, so I call Orange.
After giving them my account details they tell me that they have no record of me calling 15 days ago, the last note they have on my account is from April.
So now I'm back where I started. I've had no internet for nearly 6 weeks as it took a while for BT to turn up and install my phone line.
Yet another instance which demands a formal letter of complaint requiring responses within 5 working days. Then if you're still not satisfied a further 5 working days to re-respond.
Unless these instances are formalised then OFCOM are unable to do anything about Orange's failures.
The more formal complaints, the sooner OFCOM will realise how poor Orange's working practices are.

Orange have had 10 working days to sort this - so go straight to the ISPA. . Orange openly say "calls may be monitored" and I am sure ALL calls are recorded if they needed to refer to something that would favour them
If they've got no record of it, then it's tough for Orange isn't it. I hate it when they say call in 48 hours without asking for your telephone number (so it doesn't go on the system), but for my purposes I log it from the day I called

I agree entirely nhyder - formal complaints are logged and so proof that Orange are ripping people off.
They get away with so much it's amazing they're allowed to operate as a company still but I guess OFCOM is only aware of a fraction of the true story.
