been with Orange since april...guess what, no problems whatsoever.
got an email telling me i have been llu,ed on july 20th, yahhoo.. up to 8mb.
been getting 4.5 - 7mb, so i was well chuffed... until the other day
ppp error for 3 hours.. phoned customer support and they nearly had me slashing my wrists.
its never happened since but i was wondering is this just the start of my problems and should i start worrying.
Yes basically LLU is Orange's pile of dog poo equipment in the exchange.
You'll only get a stable connection when you move to a real ISP.
I did last September and have never had a problem since.

is this the usual scenario once you,re llu,d.
all goes well for a while, then it all goes t*ts up ??

If you use substandard equipment to build any network you are bound to end up with a substandard service. Read the posts and stickys on LLU and you will get a clearer picture.

thats strange, because when i rang customer services they blamed everything except their equipment. lol

That means
'We've run out of options, we don't have a clue, now if you don't mind go away and stop annoying us'
Excuse my cynical reply but it really annoys me when companys treat their customers in this manner.

think i will just have to keep my fingers crossed.
I don't understand why you dont just give them 30 days notice and leave?
Even if you are in a 12 month contract with them it is now void as they have broken it.

like i say, i haven't had any problems before or after that one occasion, so i will give them a chance.
however if it happens again i wont be hanging around waiting for them.
i will be off like a shot.
also wondering.. what would Orange do if i downloaded , say 80gb in a month....mmmmmm. ? would they not end my contract for me?

They'd probably either end your contract or possibly even (saw this on an old ISP i was with) stick you on a contended ratio server set for high users. You'd have to compete for limited bandwidth with other high users thus all penalising yourselves.
