For a couple of months or so, whenever I visit the iTunes Music Store for the first time some of the images show up as broken links. I need to use the home button in the store to refresh the screen to show the remaining images, and usually have to do this twice.
Is this an Orange problem or do I look elsewhere? Mac OS X version 10.4.10, iTunes 7.3.2.
I've fixed this now. I was also getting similar problems when trying to load any webpage containing many embedded images, particularly if the images are all fairly small. This was in all browsers, but only when using MAC OS X. If I tried the same web pages on my XP laptop all was fine.
It was all down to my D-Link router. When looking for other settings I noticed some pertaining to Denial of Service and Port Scan protection, both of which were enabled. Both of these options had sub-options relating to SYN requests. On disabling these and restarting the router cleared the fault. Obviously the code responsible for one of these options treats multiple requests in succession as a false positive and drops the traffic.
