I first took out 2gb broadband with wanadoo, when my account was taken over by Orange, I spoke with one of the customer care team stating I am a high user of the internet and asked to be upgraded to unlimited. I asked if this would allow me to download as I wanted and was informed it would, and to follow the Fair Use Policy of not downloading between the hours of 6pm and 11pm, to which I agreed.
Today however, I receive a threatening letter stating I have exceeded the 40GB per Month and that if I do no restrict my downloads, my account would be terminated.
So on receiving this letter I immediately rang the customer care department, demanding to know why I was not informed of this limit, I also printed the terms and conditions and Fair Use policy from the Orange site.
Absolutely nowhere in both is it stated my UNLIMITED account is CAPPED at 40GB per month. I explain this to the customer services team, and they agree that is is not mentioned, but this is their policy. I am then told that she will write a note, to see if it can be included in the details now.
I mean please, u can't go changing a contract once it has been signed. I should have been informed of this before contract agreement.
I will be contacting OFCOM first thing tomorrow morning, as this is an absolute disgrace.
Its about time Orange woke up to its self, before all its customers wake up first.
I asked Orange customer services today if they could give me that, or where i can find what i have downloaded this month, to be told they don't have such a thing and can't tell me. They're a flaming joke.

Threaten them with a court injunction to prevent them discontinuing your connection for the reason of the download limit unless they provide a chronological written record of your downloading.
